What is The Handmaid’s Tale Season 5 about?

June is still angry after the death of Fred Waterford. She’s determined to avenge him and extend her revenge to Serena. However, her anger also alienates her family. Luke and Moira are struggling to contain June’s wrath.

Serena continues to taunt June with notes and a desire to expand Gilead’s reach into Canada at the same time. As we saw from last year, there are followers for Gilead and this season they’re far more vocal.

Canadians are turning on the refugees, with big signs and marches to get the Americans out. Serena is still very pregnant but elevated to a position of diplomatic power in an effort to bridge the gap between Gilead and the rest of the world. And what better way to show solidarity than a public funeral for Fred? ..

The season’s main conflict is between June and Serena, who are vying for control of the team. Their rivalry has a significant impact on the rest of the season, as they each try to win over their opponents in order to take control of the team.

Has The Handmaid’s Tale been renewed for season 6?

Given the nature of the show’s content, that’s hardly surprising.

With some shows, cancellations or renewals happen quickly (ala. Squid Game, Bridgerton & Irregulars) Other times, it can take months.

The show has been praised for its well-done writing, strong story, and interesting plotlines. The show has been picked up by several networks and is set to air on several different platforms.

We’ll be sure to keep this section updated with accurate information over the coming weeks and months, as we learn more.

What we know about season 6 so far:

“We’re not going to be following the source material exactly, but we will be adapting it. We’re just not going to be 100% faithful to it.” This is a vague answer, as it could mean anything from changing the plot to completely rewriting the entire series. However, given that season 5 ended with a major cliffhanger and Miller’s previous statements about wanting to “adapt [the source material] as much as possible,” it seems likely that he is referring to adapting at least some of the story lines.

It’s fair to say that season 6 of “The Walking Dead” is going to be quite the dramatic affair, with Nick, Janine and Luke’s fate unknown at this point. It’s unknown whether any of these guys will make it out alive, and how June and Aunt Lydia play a part in all this.

We know that this show has been renewed, but we’ll have to wait and see what’s in store for us next year when Handmaid’s Tale returns!
