What is Speak No Evil about?
The Tafdrup family is on vacation in Italy when they meet a friendly Dutch family. The Dutch family is nice, but the Tafdrup family starts to feel uncomfortable because they are not used to being around people of different religions. They end up cancelling their trip because of this.
The weekend begins poorly for the two friends when their hosts start playing music too loudly and making out in front of them. But as the weekend goes on, they realise that they have been taken advantage of and are not enjoying themselves as much as they thought they would.

Will there be a Speak No Evil 2?
We were really looking forward to a sequel to Speak No Evil, but unfortunately that hasn’t happened. This is disappointing, but as the first film is getting so much positive attention, we don’t think it would be too surprising if a sequel was announced at some point in the near future.
What could happen in Speak No Evil 2?
In Speak No Evil, the host family made the lives of the visiting couple hell. We would likely see them on another vacation making friends with another innocent family. The story would then follow the pattern of Speak No Evil with the two families spending time together in the Netherlands. As in the original film, all hell would then break loose but rather than be an exact copy of the events that took place in Speak No Evil, we imagine the director and writers would have a few twists in store to keep us on our toes.
When could Speak No Evil 2 be released?
As there is no news of a sequel at this stage, it’s hard to say for sure. The director of Speak No Evil doesn’t have many projects on the go at the moment (according to his IMDB page) so it might be that he has time to push Speak No Evil 2 into production. If this is the case, we could see a sequel in 2023 but until we get official confirmation, this is just speculation.
