The episode was titled “Let the Healing Begin” and focused on the aftermath of the death of Dr. Derek Shepherd (Patrick Dempsey). The episode began with Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) and Dr. Arizona Robbins (Jessica Capshaw) discussing how to deal with Derek’s death. Arizona suggested that they should start a memorial service for him, but Meredith disagreed. She said that they should just let him go and move on.
