Tommy Shelby is a man who has always been determined. He’s never given up on anything, no matter how hard the odds seem. When he finds out his wife is pregnant, he’s overjoyed and decides to take the chance. He knows that if he can keep his family safe, they can keep their home and their son. But things quickly go wrong. The Russians start to show interest in Grace and Charlie, while Father Hughes starts to get close to Tommy. The Shelby family are struggling to keep up with the new world they’ve created and find themselves in danger every step of the way.
This season has a much more complex plot than last year, and it’s clear that the writers are trying to explore all of the possible outcomes for the characters. This makes for an interesting show to watch, as it keeps you guessing until the very end.

The third season of Peaky Blinders is more thought-provoking than the second, with a deeper arc than we’re used to seeing from the Birmingham street gang. In over their head, the Shelby’s end up in a fight for their life and the finale is likely to leave many salivating, waiting for the fourth season to arrive. The characters are as well written as they’ve ever been, acted perfectly by the cast with Arthur and Polly showing a lot more depth in their range than ever before. While the second season did feel a tad tighter in the writing department compared to the third, Peaky Blinders continues to impress with its 1920s crime epic.
