Meteors Are Made of Glass

Middelbo is a small town in Denmark that was hit by a meteor 17 years ago. Since then, it’s been affectionately referred to as Meteorbo. This small town is known for the large crater that can be seen in the town square. Emma reveals more information about the meteor that hit Middelbo and how it has affected the town.

The meteor is kept in a glass cage, which one of the guests convinces Emma to let him touch. Unfortunately, he gets a bit handsy and it shatters. Emma’s boss is obviously unhappy and fires her.

The town of Middelbo is in an uproar after a meteor falls from the sky. Some people believe that the meteor is a fake, while others believe that it has some sort of supernatural power. The authorities seem to be investigating the matter, but there are also rumors circulating about what might be happening. ..

Emma is on her way home from work when she meets Hussein at his house. He’s not there to give Emma back her job though, and instead is here to divulge the truth. He reveals that the meteor is a fake and the real one was destroyed on impact. In order to stop Emma from snooping, Hussein pays her off with fair tickets and free drinks.

Emma’s mother shows up and the two get along well. Unfortunately, Emma finds her doofus boyfriend kissing another girl called Noreen. She breaks things off with him after confronting the guy about his cheating and starts drinking heavily. I’m not sure where her mother is during this time but there we go.

Thomas Damborg, the man introducing Astraeus, tells the audience that his company is a hedge fund and they’re about to set up shop in town. He wants to make Middelbo the shipping center of Europe.

As Emma begins to drift in a daze, she’s joined by Marie, a blonde girl who she saw earlier on in her drunken visions. She’s with Elvis, Mads and a motley band of other teens who believe that the meteor is just a front for what’s actually happening. And they deduce that something is an alien spaceship.

Emma is interested in the company, and Thomas explains that it was created to help people in need. Astraeus didn’t exist a month ago, but now they’re interested in it. Emma rejects the call to action, but she’s definitely interested. So Thomas tells her about the company and how it helped people in need.

That night, Emma meets Marie, a woman who admits that their current target is a woman named Susan. She was there 17 years ago when the meteor crashed and she suspects this “boring Doctor” knows more than she’s letting on. And when she leaves with the biology teacher, Mr Hans, it seems to prove as such.

Marie admits that she just likes to watch people, as it reminds her that people are just as messed up as she is. ..

As the episode comes to a close, we see a strange figure in the forest snapping the neck of an animal before walking towards the camera. ..

The Episode Review

But Chosen quickly starts to show its potential as a series. The first episode is strong, but it’s not the only one that needs to be good in order for the series to succeed. The characters are interesting and the story is compelling.

There is nothing particularly outstanding about this one yet, although the mystery is certainly enticing enough to keep readers interested to find out what happens next. ..

The show is definitely atmospheric, but there are also a few contrivances too. For example, whose mother just lets their daughter wander around a fair alone getting blind drunk and not batting an eyelid? It feels like a pretty contrived way just to get Emma alone, and it’s not helped by the other characters who have very little depth – at least so far anyway.

We’ll have to wait and see how this story plays out before we can say for sure what happens next. For now, there’s enough drama here to keep you interested.
