Masha Masha Masha

Rebekah Paltrow is not coming to Wecrashed on October 9th 2008.

Rebekah’s father drops off a cheque for 1 million dollars, which should help get them a nice house. For Adam though, he’s somewhat taken aback by this gesture given he wanted to be the one to provide for Rebekah.

Adam eventually catches up with Bob, who exhibits concerns over the way he’s managed to bag the investment from Risakov. Apparently he’ll be lucky to even get the 18 cents from him. Has Adam been conned? Well, it certainly seems that way as Adam and Miguel are left with a difficult decision to make going forward.

At the run-down office space, the next day, Adam urges Miguel to invest all of his Greendesk money into this new start-up, WeWork. Adam intends to sort out the place out and get it renovated. He also convinces Rebekah to do the same thing with her 1 million dollars too, but her father’s not exactly pleased when he finds out.

Rebekah is onboard with the idea of WeWork, pitching it to her director on set and showing her around the office. It seems to work, she gets the role of Masha in an upcoming project, while Adam and Miguel interview various people and bring them onboard with the promise that they’re building WeWork toward the next Facebook. ..

Adam meets with Stavos, an investor for a new midtown location, and the fact that they barely have this first space going is telling unto itself. Adam is surprised that he even has the idea of expanding at this stage, given the current office-space barely registering and everyone struggling.

Miguel is shocked when he finds out that his friend Stavos, who he’s been friends with for years, has been drinking and signing leases at work. He walks away and decides not to invest in the deal because it’s too risky. However, Adam decides to blackmail Miguel into keeping the guy on the books by pointing out how small the real estate world is. If word of what Miguel is doing gets out, it could become very uncomfortable for him.

Rebekah does her performance up on stage, but ends up having an epiphany, realizing that acting isn’t for her. So she skips out and decides to join Adam instead.

Adam manages to rally his workers together to prepare for their upcoming showcase. They’ve only got 12 hours to do as much as they can - and it’s pretty remarkable what they manage to achieve. Adam lavishes praise on Miguel for his hard work in all this, as the whole space is completely renovated and transformed. ..

Workers trickle into WeWork’s downtown office space at 9am, and it’s clear that word of mouth is working. Adam, a potential investor, meets with a group of them and finds that they are more interested in him because of his charisma. It looks like WeWork is on the up. ..

The Episode Review

In the second episode of Wecrashed, we follow Adam and Miguel as they try to get an investment from different businessmen and women. Eventually, it turns into Rebekah and her 1 million dollar cheque from her father. This play seems risky, but it seems to have worked out. Now WeWork is well on its way to actually working.

In this follow-up, Leto’s performance is a little more subdued than in the first one. This is nice to see, while the show continues to deliver interesting drama with the couple, as they’re now fully invested in building up WeWork as the big business it can be.

With another episode of “The Walking Dead” available to watch now, the show’s main plot is left wide open.
