The Episode Review

The team of Vox Machina prepares for their journey to Whitestone, seeing the potential dangers and opportunities ahead.

The main point of this instalment is the interactions between Vax and Keyleth. It’s been clear from the beginning that there’s a romance brewing between them (at least on Vax’s end), but Vex’s perspective complicates things. The dynamic between the three of them–Vex, Vax, and Keyleth–is an interesting one, and I’m excited to see how it plays out.

In this episode, the Briarwoods set up a wicked ritual in order to get the book from the Whitestone ziggurat. They must contact a god, and it seems that Delilah is needed for this purpose. We don’t know what god she needs to contact, but it’s likely that it’s one of the many gods associated with the ziggurat. This will be a blood-curdling ritual, as we’ll see what happens when Delilah attempts to get hold of the book.
