In recent years, there have been a number of bad videogame movies that have come out, all of which seem to be based on properties that are no longer in production or that have been cancelled. Some of these movies were poorly made and had little to no chance of being successful at the box office, while others managed to find a small audience and make a lot of money on DVD and Blu-ray sales. It seems as though the problem with these movies is that they are not really about the games themselves but rather about making money.

Resident Evil movies did well at the box office despite being awful and barely resembling the games they were based on. Angelina Jolie’s lacklustre Lara Croft movies made a fair amount of money at the box office too. ..

Uncharted is a movie based on a popular videogame franchise and despite the rocky road to the screen, there has been a lot of anticipation from those who are fans of Naughty Dog’s Playstation games. Well, I am happy to say that it isn’t bad. ..

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is a prequel to the Uncharted games that follows Nathan Drake as he tries to find his brother and save his family from a ruthless pirate captain. The game includes moments that are familiar to anyone who has sat down with a joypad to control these characters directly, such as the opening cargo plane sequence. There are enough Easter Eggs to please fans of any of the franchise titles, so whether you’re a longtime fan or just discovering the series for the first time, Uncharted 4 is sure to please. ..

The movie does a good job of explaining the origins of the friendship between Nathan Drake and Victor Sullivan. In the games, both characters explore the world in search of adventure and lost treasures. The same applies here, although their relationship is a little fractious in the movie as they are still trying to get to know one another. ..

Some people were unhappy when it was announced that the movie would feature actors like Mark Wahlberg and Tom Holland, who are much younger than their video game counterparts. However, this doesn’t really matter as the movie is a prequel and there’s plenty of time for them to grow into their roles should there be sequels. And in fact, both actors play their parts convincingly so game fans don’t need to worry too much. ..

The movie is a globe-trotting adventure in the vein of National Treasure and the Indiana Jones movies. There are enough action sequences, puzzle moments, and hidden mysteries for those who are fans of the genre. ..

Drake Holland is perfect for the role of Spider-Man in this movie. He has the acrobatic skills to pull off the parkour moves that make up some of the movie’s chase scenes and he also has a great chemistry with Wahlberg. We believe in their initially untrusting relationship and the back and forth of their banter is genuinely quite amusing.

The film, set for release in 2019, follows a team of treasure hunters as they search for the lost gold of Magellan. The film is based on a novel by Clive Cussler and stars Tom Hanks, Sophia Ali, Antonio Banderas, and Tati Gabrielle. ..

Venom is a fun, light-hearted action movie that will please fans of the game and those unfamiliar with the franchise. Rubin Fleischer keeps the tone fun and light, even when the story threatens to overcomplicate itself with double-crosses and plot contrivances.

The movie is a mixed bag but it’s entertaining. The director is respectful of the original source material, which makes it a lot better than some other video game movies.
