The Episode Review

The final episode of Somebody Somewhere ended with a somewhat open conclusion, leaving many questions over where our characters will end up going forward. It’s clear that Sam is still carrying a fair amount of trauma with her, which is typified by that final shot. ..

However, there’s a good job done here airing out Sam and Joel’s issues, with the pair helping one another to cope with their problems. For that alone, the show has done a decent job but the ending doesn’t really feel like a finale of sorts, in fact there could easily be several more episodes tacked on the end of this. ..

The moral of the story is that time heals wounds, but sometimes it takes longer than you think. Those who look the most cheerful on the outside could be carrying a fair amount of trauma and baggage with them.

This slice of life drama is about a young couple, who are struggling to make ends meet and find their place in the world. In the final episode, they reflect on their experiences and find new ways to cope with the challenges they face.
