The story follows a team of detectives as they try to piece together the mystery behind a series of murders that seem to be inspired by the works of Edgar Allan Poe. The characters are well-developed and the plot is twisty and compelling, making it one of the most exciting thrillers I’ve ever come across. If you’re looking for a gripping crime thriller that will keep you guessing until the very end, The Devil’s Hour is definitely worth checking out. ..

As the story unfolds, it becomes clear that Chambers is not the only one with a dark secret; her best friend and fellow employee, Sarah, is also in on the dark plan. As each new piece of information comes to light, it leads to more questions and more revelations about who is behind this sinister plot and what their ultimate goal is. With so many secrets at play, it’s sure to keep you on your toes as you follow Lucy through her journey to discover the truth.

The woman has a distorted reality that she struggles to make sense of. She sees things that aren’t there, has recurrent dreams about a serial killer called Gideon, and has difficulty with her son Isaac.

In a twist on the classic mystery novel, Isaac is the key to understanding what’s going on in the world and his increasingly erratic and bizarre behaviour comes to a head when the truth about his past – and future – becomes apparent.

The Devil’s Hour is a gripping, dark mystery that will keep you on the edge of your seat the entire way through. The clever writing and well-done suspense make this one of the most exciting stories I’ve read in a while.

The pace of this book can be a little slow at times, and episode 4 in particular applies the brakes and takes a more leisurely approach than some may be happy with. However, this chapter is actually pretty necessary for what follows, and in many ways serves as a proverbial deep breath before taking the plunge into much more dramatic waters, where big revelations change the game.

The Devil’s Hour is an excellent crime drama that is horror, psychological thriller, and conventional crime all at once. The acting is outstanding and the way the show blends all three genres together makes it a very captivating watch. ..

While Peter Capaldi is likely to get the plaudits here, it’s Jessica Raine and Benjamin Chivers who really stand out. Both play their respective characters so well and Isaac in particular is chilling and really brings his A-game, which is pretty impressive given this is one of his first productions! This young man has a bright future ahead of him in acting. ..
