Episode Guide
Episode 1 - The first episode of the show was a bit of a letdown. It wasn’t particularly well-written or interesting, and it didn’t really make much of an impact. However, the second episode did better. It was more interesting and well-written, and it made more of an impact.
The ending of the movie left many people feeling disappointed. Some of the major characters were not resolved in a way that satisfied fans, and some plot points were left unresolved. Many fans were unhappy with the way the movie ended, as some of the major characters were not resolved in a satisfactory way and some plot points were left unresolved. ..
KakaoTV is trying out a new short web drama with Red Velvet’s Joy in the lead role. The show is set in a small town and follows the daily lives of its residents. It has been picked up by the streaming platform and is set to air on October 25th.
The 12-episode web drama is shorter than a regular K-drama, each episode only has a run-time of 30 minutes. This makes it a quick watch for new fans who want to try their hand at the genre. The show, throughout its 12 episodes, tells the story of Han Ji-yul, played by Choo Young-woo, a city boy who moves to the country to start over. ..
Ji-yul returns to his hometown after many years and takes on the role of the vet’s grandson. He meets Ja-young, a girl from his childhood who he doesn’t remember. They start a relationship and Ji-yul discovers that he has feelings for her.
Once Upon The Small Town is a wholesome show that keeps its ad-libs in order to portray romantic connections. I really wish the episodes were longer, but whatever we got was really good for fans to complain about.
Ji-yul and Ja-young’s characters are amazing together and the chemistry between Joy (Park Soo-young) and Young-woo is what makes their interactions so fun. Knowing that Young-woo is a fan of Joy makes their interactions even more fun. More episodes focusing on Ji-yul’s trauma and how he deals with it would have made the show much better though. On that same note, there’s also not a lot of focus on how the couple deals with their long distance relationship because there was so much potential in that angle. ..
The cinematography in “Once Upon A Small Town” is always pleasing to the eye and the show manages to make life in a small town appealing despite the various challenges living outside the city could bring. ..
The song is about a person who is missing their loved one and how they feel. It’s a light, upbeat song that I think will be popular with the audience. The show feels like a tribute to Hometown Cha Cha, which was an amazing show that I enjoyed watching.
The show features three main leads who resemble people living in a small town. The male lead has a best friend who has the right advice at all times, and we also see Mal-geum’s character as the nagging woman who is obnoxious but still gets away with it because the people of the town aren’t confrontational and because she presents herself to be naive to avoid conflict.
The show’s main flaw would be the lack of connection between Ji-yul’s grandfather and the audience. He only appeared in one episode and was barely mentioned, so it felt like the audience wasn’t able to connect with him at all.
Overall, the show is a fun drama and it is healing, to say the least. The episodes are short and sweet but to the extent that it seems too fast-paced with more plot progression happening by the minute. Sang-hyeon’s character deserves better and the makers did him dirty by keeping him single at the end. Petition for there to be a spin-off series where we see Sang-hyeon find true love? Let’s make it happen! ..
