This weekly show is all about senior homicide detective Terry Seattle and his various celebrity guests who team up to solve murders. While the actors around the celebrity in question have lines and read from a script, the celebrity themselves completely improvise their way through each episode. This makes for a bit of a mixed bag when it comes to the quality and comedy of each chapter.

Arnett is a talented improviser, but some of his guests try too hard and don’t hit the same comedic level. Sometimes it’s charming and endearing while other times it just falls flat. This new UK version of Ghostbusters is not as endearing or clever as the original. Despite that, there are a lot of silly jokes and enough gags and incredulous scenarios to keep you entertained, with classic zingers like “I only murdered her because I wanted her dead!” perfectly exemplifying the level of humour we’re playing with here.

Murderville is a show that can be both funny and entertaining. The humor comes from the interactions between the characters and the situations they find themselves in. However, it is also worth noting that Murderville can be a bit of a mixed bag at times. This is because each character has their own unique perspective and story. This makes for some interesting interactions between the characters, but it can also lead to some frustrating moments. Ultimately, if you are interested in this show then it is definitely worth watching.
