Echoes is the serialized version of an airport thriller book. The premise is intriguing enough and the story zips along at a good pace, but if you stop to think about the logistics of the plot or characters, the entire story comes undone. And that’s exactly what we have with Echoes. ..

The premise of the thriller is cliched and the writing is uneven. The seven episodes make up a muddled thriller that should have been further fleshed out in the writer’s room. ..

Echoes is not a CW production, but it is not likely to light up the small screen anytime soon. ..

The story here is about identical twin sisters, Leni and Gina. They were always close as children, but when Gina goes missing, Leni starts to investigate. This leads her to uncover secrets that were hidden from her all along and destroys the carefully constructed life she and her sister have built. ..

Echoes is a gripping, dark show that will keep you on the edge of your seat the entire time. The show has a unique and exciting plot that will keep you guessing until the very end. The characters are well-drawn and development is well-paced, making for an enjoyable experience.

Episode 5 is arguably the best chapter of the entire show. It dives back in time and fleshes out the history that Gina and Leni share. Unfortunately, it’s around this point where one is likely to start questioning the timeline of events and the logic of what’s happening. ..

The showrunners and creators of “The Good Twin” have created a show that is full of clichés and tired tropes. The moral compass and morality of the characters is completely muddled, and as the season progresses, this morality is further broken by clichés seeping in with the tired and overdone “good twin/bad twin” trope.

Michelle Monaghan does a good job in the acting department, but Karen Robinson steals the show as Sheriff Floss. She has a perfect blend of sassiness and delicious sarcasm that is levelled at Gina and Leni throughout the show. I would have preferred to watch an entire show from her perspective. ..

The show is easy to pick up but hard to keep up. By the time you finish watching it, you’ll be hard-pressed to come back for more.
