House of the Dragon Episode 2

House of the Dragon is a new prequel to Game of Thrones that takes place 200 years before the War of the Five Kings. The focus here is on the Dance of Dragons, adapted from George R.R. Martin’s Fire & Blood, along with the novella The Princess and the Queen.

The Targaryens are a family of rulers who have been in power for centuries. Their story begins with their ancestor, Aegon the Conqueror, who conquered much of what is now known as Westeros after defeating the last of the great Houses of Stark. The Targaryens have been ruled by a series of kings and queens, and their dynasty has produced some of the most powerful people in all of Westeros. But there have also been times when they have had to fight for their lives against other families who would do anything to control them. This history has led to plenty of violence and bloodshed, including many wars and campaigns. But it has also given rise to some of the most beautiful women in Westeros – including Queen Cersei Lannister, who is currently facing trial for her role in the death of her husband, King Robert Baratheon.
