Just as she leaves, the teller advises Ha-Kyung to take an umbrella, admitting that it’s going to rain. “Rain, my foot.” Ha-Kyung scoffs, and leaves the umbrella behind.

Ha-Kyung stops by Ki-Jun’s house before heading to work. He’s changed the passcode (which is definitely suspicious) and claims to be feeling better after a cold shower. However, Ha-Kyung is called away urgently by work before she can probe further.

Ha-Kyung works at the Korea Meteorological Administration, and it was here that we learned a little more about the people she works with. One of those is a lady called Reporter Chae, who has been picked up by her over-enthusiastic boyfriend, Si-Woo. ..

His new car is slow and their time together is awkward as they head out for a drink. It’s clear she’s not into him but he can’t seem to pick up on the signals. Just like that though, it starts hailing - the fortune teller was right! Does that mean she was right about the sad ending for Ha-Kyung too? ..

The meteorological station is in a state of pandemonium as they find a signal that seems to hint toward this occurring. Specifically, they find a signal that seems to hint toward this occurring which was missed initially. This is pretty serious and this lapse in judgment has caused major damage across the area.

Ha-Kyung rushes to Director Choi’s side, finding him unconscious and gasping for breath. He knows something is wrong and calls for an ambulance. The workers outside watch in confusion as Ha-Kyung rushes to Director Choi’s side.

It’s another sign that Ha-Kyung is going to be in for a briefing. As an ambulance arrives and takes him away, this leaves the spot open for the briefing.

Director Choi is in the hospital, having high blood pressure. His wife is worried and wants him to take care of himself so he can stay in his job. ..

Bong-Chan tells the others not to visit him for the time being, in order to keep Choi’s stress levels down. Ha-Kyung is put in charge temporarily.

Meanwhile, Si-Woo does some research of his own and realizes that the ground temperature in Gongwon is too high, given it’s only mid-March. It seems to hint toward an oncoming storm but when he radios it through, they class it as an abnormal reading and nothing to worry about.

Si-Woo is adamant that there is a storm brewing and he has found evidence that it is not just a coincidence. He communicates his findings to the head office and Ha-Kyung. ..

Given that Si-Woo successfully predicted hail, he believes that there will be heavy rainfall in the next 2-3 hours. This all comes down to Ha-Kyung to decide what to do. With the threat of her wedding being cancelled looming over her, she eventually turns her phone off and decides to delay issuing a heavy rain warning for another hour. Si-Woo is not happy with this decision and eventually defies her.

A severe weather warning is issued when there is a high chance of severe weather, such as rain, wind, or thunder. Ha-Kyung shows up to see Si-Woo, who has correctly predicted that there will be heavy rain. ..

Ha-Kyung’s wedding was cancelled, but she found out Ki-Jun was cheating on her with another woman from work. ..

Chae’s world comes crashing down when she decides to break up with her boyfriend Si-Woo. It’s something she’s wanted to do for a while but only now has she decided to follow through with that.

Director Choi is back up and running again, but he’s relieved that Ha-Kyung is stepping up to the plate. Unfortunately, this all comes crashing down when Ha-Kyung returns to work.

Ki-Jun, her ex-fiancé, is taking the role of director instead. Bong-Chan suggests she take a position working in dispatch training, but this would also mean leaving to head for Switzerland for a whole year. Although that year could be extended if she likes it there and decides to accept the role. ..

Ha-Kyung is left with a few questions. First, why would Ki-Jun take such a large amount of appliances? Second, where did the money go? And third, what will she do now that her TV and other appliances are gone?

The Episode Review

This new Saturday/Sunday drama starts off with some solid drama, interweaving that around the weather. With the heavy rainfall, this works to typify Ha-Kyung’s crazy emotional rollercoaster while the bright sunshine is depicted for Si-Woo, reflecting his own mood.

The title of the episode, Signal, is also indicative of seeing signals in your personal life as well as with the weather. This is especially evident when it comes to her earlier run-in with Ki-Jun and his flustered look. “The signals were clear” she says, and obviously seeing that first-hand is the worst kind of betrayal. The heartbreak is indescribable unless you’ve actually experienced it yourself.

In the latest episode of “K-On!” Ki-Jun tries to take Ha-Kyung’s apartment and appliances off her hands, but gets into trouble. Hopefully he gets some comeuppance for his actions in the upcoming episodes.

In the latest episode of “Si-Woo and Ha-Kyung’s Love Story,” Si-Woo fails to see the signs from his disgruntled girlfriend and eventually ends up single too. This sets up a nice romance for Ha-Kyung and Si-Woo to step into in the coming episodes. However, this is a solid opener and sets the tone nicely for what should be a very enjoyable series.
