In this series, we follow the story of a small group of people who live in a world that has been changed by the events of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. We follow their journey as they try to find their place in this new world, and see how their actions affect the people around them.
This series is set during the second age, during a period of relative peace. We’re tackling the forging of the Rings of Power here, along with the rise of the Dark Lord Sauron and the fall of Númenor. These events take place over thousands of years but do note, they have been condensed drastically for this series.
The new “Lord of the Rings” movie is set to release in December, and fans of the books are eagerly awaiting any and all references to their favorite characters. However, director Peter Jackson has promised that there will be many new characters not found in the books, as well as a prominent role for Galadriel (the protagonist from the book “The Silmarillion”). This big adventure may be their only hope of stopping Sauron before he destroys Middle-earth. ..

In the second episode of Season 1 of “The Rings of Power,” the characters learn more about the magical objects that have been used to control powerful beings for centuries. The episode begins with a flashback to when King Terenas and his army invaded Dragaeron, seeking to take back the rings. The Rings of Power are a set of magical objects that can be used by anyone who possesses them. King Terenas was able to take one ring, but was eventually defeated and killed.
