Jane Fonda

In episode 3 of Pam & Tommy, Rand and Miltie decide to go big with the tape. Rand is consumed by his revenge while Miltie takes on her role as the new head of the family.

Miltie and Rand show up at Vivid Entertainment in 1995. They dance their way around the tape being stolen, until they’re quickly shot down and forced out the door. Numerous other studios follow suit. ..

None of these people want the media circus that’s going to be created by releasing this tape, leaving the pair high and dry, sitting on a goldmine but with nothing to help them dig up the dirt.

Rand met Erica while doing plumbing work, and later married her. Five years into their marriage, Erica has big aspirations to be an actress and branch out beyond her current work. Rand soon discovers that Erica is also working as a spy for the government. ..

Rand begins to think about ways the internet could be used to their advantage. When he realizes the internet is becoming big, he believes uploading the video for all to see could be a good idea.

Pamela continues to work on the show, but is met with resistance from the director and producers when she suggests filming scenes in slow motion. She wants her role to be more than just a pretty face; she wants to show off her acting skills. The director and producers are dismissive of Pamela’s suggestions, telling her that the scenes work better without words. ..

Tommy begins to feel the pressure of the changing music scene. With the news claiming Motley Crew are at rock bottom, and with Kurt Cobain, Nirvana and the rise of grunge starting to dominate the rock music scene, he’s starting to feel the pressure.

Tommy convinces Pam to give the producers an ultimatum – let her do the scene or she’ll walk.

Rand and Miltie go to Butchie with a proposition: They will distribute a large sum of money over the internet so that it is untraceable, and Butchie is willing to take on some risks in order to make this happen. They are able to get a cool 50,000 for their efforts, but they have some steep terms that they have to agree to. Ultimately, the deal is made and the ball begins rolling.

Miltie heads to various cities to use the funds to help finance their endeavour, Rand visits Erica with a flower and a ring box…with the plumbing piece she needs. He even takes her out for dinner too. ..

Rand fills out his divorce papers as the website gets up and running, about to be mass-duplicated and making a lot of money. ..

As the episode comes to a close, Pam is pregnant. She and Tommy celebrate this news with Rand and the others. Soon, they’ll all have to face the storm that’s coming. ..

The Episode Review

Rand’s failed marriage is explored in the third episode. The turbulent ties with Erica are also shown, as well as the cracks starting to form in both Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee’s careers. ..

These moments are great, allowing us to really drink in the time period and it’s helped by a strong soundtrack as well. There are a lot of 90’s tracks in this that help keep things ticking over nicely, and I’d imagine the upcoming episodes are going to start ramping up the drama too.

Pam and Tommy are finally starting to turn a corner. After a few episodes of being subdued, it looks like they’re about to start kicking things off in a big way. ..
