The No Hwa Young and Yong Moon Gu cases would have had a significant impact on the city if her father’s death hadn’t occurred. Cha Woo In was in a coma for a week after her father’s death, which affected her negatively.

Do Bae Man confronts No Hwa Young about her amputated finger. He is troubled by the memories of the car crash that killed his parents but he survives.

Cha Woo In, who had just left the building, could still hear Woo Jin’s words from when he had told her that they share a common fight and that she will wait for him ‘to escape the oblivion.’ ..

Yong Moon Gu and No Hwa Young are discussing how they plan to remove Do Bae Man from their path. Yong Moon Gu says that Do Bae Man has only become an annoyance, and No Hwa Young agrees. They decide to remove him from the equation for he is no longer a threat.

We are then back to the shooting range where Cha Woo In and Do Bae Man meet and Woo In reveals in crisp details how she prepared to reach her position at the military prosecutor section.

Do Bae Man, a military prosecutor, has partially lost his memories from the car crash that killed his parents. After leaving the military, he experiences a flash of memory where he sees No Hwa Young giving a cold smile. He brushes it aside and the scene then cuts to him joining a law firm as an Equity Partner. The law firm owners praise Do Bae Man for his dedication and work as a military prosecutor. ..

Minister Lee tells us that he is going to become the president and we are all happy to hear this. We promise to have dinner and drinks later that night for celebration.

The prosecutor’s office met with Bae Man’s aunt today. She has been helping the lady secure a video for a case, but she asks the prosecutor to keep it under wraps. She recalls how Bae Man is and reminisces about how he used to be.

Do Bae Man joins the new law firm and is greeted by the paralegal who is assigned to help him with his cases. The office is lavish, with modern gadgets and artistic furniture that screams “expensive” from every corner. ..

The manager of the firm gives a golden frog as a good luck gift to Baek Man, who is struggling to make ends meet. The frog is placed in Baek Man’s hand as an act of kindness, and the sound effects add an appropriate level of irony. However, one can’t help but notice the insult when Baek Man is asked to choose a bag to “look high class.” This moment also serves as a space for product placement.

Kang Ha Joon, the CEO of Kang’s Solutions, is Bae Man’s first client. He leaves abruptly, but in those few minutes he drops huge insider information on No Hwa Young. ..

Since he suffered from memory loss, he is unable to recall the incident clearly. He goes off after shooting a warning to Do Bae Man. Infuriated, Bae Man leaves in his car and meets Yeom Sam Inn the military prosecutor who was originally working on the case. Yeom Sam Inn tells him that there is no evidence against Do Bae Man and that he should be released. Bae Man is grateful for Yeom Sam Inn’s help and decides to stay in South Korea.

No Tae Nam, No Hwa Young’s son, is enlisted in the military. He dreams of his rich spoilt days where he lived in the laps of luxury and privilege. His experiences in military training are aimed to be comic relief amidst the rising tension of his trial but the attempt falls flat. ..

Do Bae Man enters the courtroom in a military prosecutor’s robe. He is quickly recognized by the para legal as the man who will be handling the case. The trial quickly begins, and Do Bae Man barely has time to take his seat before the prosecution starts its case.

Do Bae Man studies the room carefully, recalling how No Hwa Young was responsible for his parents’ death. He wants to make sure that justice is served and vows to stand by Cha Woo In during this difficult time. ..

The trial is about the victim’s experience of sexual harassment and her fight to prove her innocence. The soldier sitting in the audience is only deterring the victim from being confident and brave, but No Tae Nam has power which he can easily manipulate. He uses it to his benefit and his lawyer Yong Moon Gu turns the tables with his cross questions.

Do Bae Man meets Yong Moon Gu and continues to show his support for Yong. He gives a smirk which suggests that the tables are about to be turned for real since Do Bae Man knows about his parents’ accident. He definitely has plans which will be revealed slowly.

The next day, No Tae Nam’s mother is missing from the trail room and he is shocked to see her absent. Allen, another culprit in the case, is threated by Yong Moon Gu to take the fall. He admits to all charges in the courtroom, clearing No Tae Nam’s name in the process.

The soldiers in the audience create a disturbance to disrupt the court. Yong Moon Gu submits a medical record which says that No Tae Nam suffers from erectile dysfunction. Immediately, his reputation among the soldiers is tarnished.

No Tae Nam, the modern man, is devastated to hear about his reputation being manipulated. He is dragged out of the court after refusing to give up his name. ..

No Tae Nam’s name was cleared of all charges on Wednesday, and Yong Moon Gu, the CEO of IM Defense, made a not-so-subtle gesture of getting the position. The move comes as a relief to No Tae Nam and his team, who have been through a lot lately.

After the trial, Cha Woo In and Do Bae Man meet again. He gives her a piece of advice which she takes offence against. The situation is settled and then comes the ‘Doberman’ reference. If you still didn’t get it, Do Bae Man’s name is a word play of ‘Doberman’, a dog breed which is known for looking slim yet very active and strong. ..

Doberman bit but didn’t leave until flesh ripped out. Do Bae Man alludes to this quality and promises Cha Woo Ji to help her in fight and also get justice for his parents. ..

The episode ends with Yong Moon Gu receiving a phone call from No Hwa Young. She informs him that Tae Nam deserted from the camp. This incident will only further complicate the trial which was until now a simple open and shut case owing to Allen’s confession and admission of the crime.

The Episode Review

The new drama, My Name, stars an anti-hero who has his own agenda and helps others along the way. ..

While the film primarily focuses on the military’s stringent rules and its impact on the human side of the story, our leads have their own revenge agenda. ..

The military recruit in question is in a difficult position, and the humour does not quite land. The scene is lightened by the use of humour, but it’s not really funny.

The story feels like it is hastily written to lay emphasis on the battles fought by the leads. The scenes switch from one to another rapidly and it takes a while to understand the chronology of events.
