She insults him by saying she could never marry someone who looks like an archaeopteryx. This offends him more than anything else she’s said to him so far.

Ha-ri is curious and decides to watch from her desk. She sees Min-woo hand Hye-ji a gift and then walk away with her. Ha-ri is surprised to see that the gift is a ring.

Ha-ri turns around and sprints back to her office, but she trips and falls. This causes her shoe to fly off her foot and hit Tae-moo in the face.

She leaves her shoes at the office, and he follows her. When he catches up to her, he takes notice of her name badge and commendates her for the work she’s been doing.

In her office, she finds out that Min-woo was returning a gift she had given him. He said he was uncomfortable with the gesture.

Later that night, Young-seo meets with Tae-moo to clear up who she actually is. First, she bumps into Sung-hoon and gives him her card.

Young-seo tells Tae-moo that she hired someone to impersonate her, but Tae-moo suspects that the impersonator was a friend of hers.

He has a peculiar reaction to her story. He’s more angry at the fake Young-seo than the real one, and he wants to see the woman from his blind date before he calls off the marriage proposal. Young-seo agrees to set up a meeting.

Ha-ri is surprised when Young-seo tells her that Tae-moo will be coming to apologize for what he did. She insists that he only wants an apology, but Young-seo doesn’t seem to believe her.

Ha-ri’s family owns a chicken restaurant. Tae-moo lies to her family about her name to get them to give her a coupon for their restaurant.

Shin Geum-hui is a character in a TV drama who works in a chicken shop and falls in love with a rich man. She’s not too on the nose, but her story is still interesting.

Tae-moo is angry at her deception and the way she insulted his appearance. She says she’ll do him a favour to make up for everything. In response, he puts his number in her phone and insists she pick up anytime he calls. ..

Tae-moo tells his grandfather that he and “Young-seo” broke up. As a result, he must go on a long string of dates with other eligible women. But all of them bore him.

When Da-goo says that the dates won’t stop until his grandson chooses a wife, Tae-moo blurts out that he and Young-seo got back together.

Ha-ri meets Young-seo’s grandfather for the first time and is tempted to pretend to date him. She offers 1.6 million won for each meeting, but he doesn’t immediately accept. Ha-ri is curious about him and wonders if she could be friends with him.

Min-woo calls her to ask why she hasn’t stopped by lately. She promises she’ll be by to see him soon.

That night, Ha-ri gets a call from Tae-moo. He tells her that he’s outside her house and that he has a fake-dating contract and a profile of himself for her to memorize. ..

She thinks his idea is crazy and runs out of his car. He goes after her. Just then, she sees Min-woo walking up to the shop. Ducking from his sight, she knocks over Tae-moo and collapses on top of him. ..

The Episode Review

Episode 1 introduced the story of a young couple, Ha-ri and Young-seo, who were caught up in a drunken night. The flashback to their night was unnecessary and did not add to the story. Episode 2 continued this trend, introducing a new subplot about a rival gang. However, such distractions from the main plot could be removed in favour of more interesting stories that would make the viewer care about the characters.

The chemistry between Ha-ri and Tae-moo presents as a lack of respect on both ends, which makes for some amusing moments (and should lead to some fun romantic tension). If anything is going to keep me from rooting for the couple, it’s going to be Tae-moo’s prideful and overbearing nature.

This episode is zany and light-hearted, with some good comedic timing from Kim Min-kyu’s character.

I’m intrigued to see how Tae-moo and Ha-ri handle a dating contract that seems none too bright. How does Tae-moo plan on keeping “Young-seo/Geum-hui/Ha-ri’s” identity a secret if they ever end up meeting with the real Young-seo’s father, Chairman Jin? Hopefully, we’ll see how they deal with such a situation in future episodes.
