Netflix has released a new mystery drama called Cafe Minamdang, which is set in a small town in South Korea. The show follows an eclectic group of characters and an interesting plot. The show has been quite the rollercoaster ride over the weeks, with some twists and turns that you won’t expect.

What is Cafe Minamdang Season 1 about?
Nam Han Joon is a criminal profiler who’s now working as a fraudster. For his scams, he disguises himself as a fortune teller, running the shop Minamdang. He not only scams customers for their money though, he also gets involved in their cases and helps solve them.
Nam Han Joon’s partners are Soo Cheol and Nam Hye Joon. While Hey Joon is a master hacker, Sool-Cheol runs a private detective agency. As fate would have it, all these characters interweave together.
Cafe Minamdang is a restaurant in the heart of Seoul that offers a unique and delicious experience. The restaurant has been around since the early 1990s, and it has become one of the most popular tourist destinations in Seoul.
Has Cafe Minamdang been renewed for season 2?
KBS2 has not renewed Cafe Minamdang for a second season. Given the ratings over the past few weeks, it’ll be interesting to see if they actually do renew this for a follow-up.
The ratings for “The Office” have been steady at around 4% most weeks since its premiere.
Despite the ratings and longer run of 18 rather than 16 episodes, we predict that Cafe Minamdang will not be renewed for a second season.

What we know about season 2 so far:
There is little information available about the second season of the Korean drama. Given that most Korean dramas are reserved to one season, it’s unusual for these shows to be renewed. The only exception are ongoing Netflix shows (Love ft. Marriage and Divorce, Hospital Playlist etc.). It seems unlikely that this show will be renewed. ..
We’ve seen Taxi Driver and Tale of the Nine Tailed renewed recently, but given how steady the ratings are for this series, it seems unlikely that either one will buck the trend. Right now, it seems more likely that these two series will stay on the air for a while yet.
After much speculation, it has been confirmed that the popular show “The Office” will not be renewed for a sequel or spin-off. The decision was made after the show’s last season aired and while ratings were high, it was not enough to warrant another season.
