What is Fate: The Winx Saga about?
This season, Rosalind is in charge of the academy and things are going well. However, there are students missing and the Specialists outside have intensified their fighting. Who’s behind this? Well, we soon learn who the big bad is- Sebastian and the Blood Witches. They’ve set up a conflict for the second half of this season.
The story quickly takes on a more formulaic edge, as the mystery dissipates and we focus on the whole plot centered around Bloom being the “chosen one.” Holding the power of the Dragon Flame inside, Bloom is forced to try and wield this to stop the forces of evil, while simultaneously keeping all her friends happy and her relationship with Sky intact. ..

Although the article does go on to claim that Fate: Winx Saga had good viewing numbers over the week of 5th-11th September, it doesn’t elaborate further, which seems to indicate that the show did good numbers and then potentially fell off a cliff and stagnated to very little traction. This could well be the reason why the series was cancelled.

Netflix has not renewed season 3 of “Fate: Winx Saga” and the cliffhanger ending has left many fans wondering what could have happened. Although we initially predicted this would be renewed, it seems the second season has done bad numbers for Netflix and has been resigned to being cancelled.
